David designs tools to increase muscle and decrease fat. The core tenets of a healthy diet are: sufficient protein intake, controlled caloric intake, and minimal added sugar consumption.
David achieves these three goals with a 75% CFP score (CFP = Calories from Protein / Total Calories).
David's protein blend, consisting of Milk Protein Isolate, Collagen, Whey Protein Concentrate, and Egg White, provides a complete amino acid profile and scores a perfect 1.0 PDCAAS, making it ideal for all bodily functions, including beauty and muscle building.
The binding system in David forms what would otherwise be protein powder into a bar consistency. In addition to binding, some of these ingredients provide prebiotic gut health benefits. Most importantly, David’s binding system, primarily consisting of Allulose and Polydextrose limits caloric impact and blood sugar responses.
To help minimize calories from fat, David utilizes a modified plant fat called EPG along with small amounts of traditional fats like coconut oil, cocoa butter, and palm kernel oil (in certain flavors) to achieve the mouthfeel and texture of fat without the typical caloric load. The David Flavor System uses no artificial sweeteners and no artificial flavors. It prioritizes natural ingredients, using cocoa powder, natural flavors, salt, and non-caloric natural sweeteners like stevia and monk fruit extract. These sweeteners have no impact on blood sugar or insulin levels and don't harm the gut microbiome. Natural colors, like carmine and pea flower, are added to some of our flavored bars for visual appeal.
